Recipe: coffee chocolate truffles



makes ± 30 truffles
preparation time: 30 minutes plus 1 hour for cooling

you will need:

100 g cream
2 tablespoons ground coffee
250 g organic milk chocolate, melted
cocoa powder/melted dark chocolate

here’s how:

  • Bring the cream and the coffee to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and transfer to a mixing bowl. Allow to stand.
  • Pour the melted chocolate, slowly while stirring, into a bowl with the warm cream.
  • Stir gently until all the chocolate is combined and the mixture is smooth.
  • Allow to cool and shape into little balls.
  • Roll in cocoa powder or dip in melted chocolate.


hints and tips:

  • Dip the cooled ganache shapes in melted chocolate, dust with cocoa or roll in chopped nuts, chocolate or crystallized ginger.
  • Use warm ganache as an icing for cup cakes.
  • Place a coffee bean on top for decoration.
